Nonchalant Pedaler has loved cycling from an early age and is encouraged to see better bicycle infrastructure being created around many cities. It has been enjoyable to see the widespread growth and interest of cycling outside of the formal sport, now being adopted by so many urban cyclists and those who prefer riding off the beaten path.  It is encouraging to see so many new and old riders cycling around their communities, participating in city organized rides such as Ciclavia events.

Embracing cycling as a way of life for commuting, pleasure, short rides, trails with friends, or popping down the road for an errand and meeting up at cafes etc. has been growing. The quest to enlist new members to the 2 wheeled tribe never stops. Raising awareness in order to get other road users accustomed to our presence and to safely share the roads is an ongoing goal.

Cycling can seem intimidating to those who are new to it, or to someone who hasn’t been on a bike for years. It doesn't need to be. Don’t stress about it or overthink the need to kit up as though you’re heading for the Tour de France start line (unless you fancy a race). Simple clothing does an effective job, it’s comfortable and takes the faff out of preparation for a ride. Throw on a Nonchalant Pedaler shirt,  a pair of sneakers/trainers/vans and you're good to go pedal for many miles.

Ride Calm & Often

Cheers,

Nonchalant Pedaler
